Good tips. I had a lot of disappointments early on buying telesopes that promised wonderful views of the planets. Mostly they produced tiny views of say Mars, so small could not see anything. There is some debate about whether or not the very top of the lighthouse is still intact though. Can't confirm anything. My family and I lived in Gilchrist and did enjoy the beach and fishing.
